Touristy Tuesdays: The Rocks Markets

by A Cajun Down Under on July 20, 2010

Last weekend, The Aussie and I headed down to Sydney Harbour to visit the Rocks Markets.

The Saturday and Sunday markets feature many unique crafts, fashion, and food.  It is a great place to pick up a unique souvenir, but sometimes they can be a little pricey.  I still remember the first time I visited these markets back in 2000 when I was just a tourist, and I left completely loaded down with bags and bags of souvenirs for myself, family and friends.

Ten years later, I am still bringing family and friends who visit Australia to these markets.  And, I usually make a trip to the markets at Christmas time in search of unique gifts.

And, here’s the best part, you only have to look up at either end of the stalls to see the beautiful Sydney Harbour.

The Rocks Markets are definitely worth checking out when visiting Sydney.

Thanks, Tracey, but I can only take credit for the post production. The Aussie took the photo.
