We have skipped Spring and hit Louisiana in the hottest part of the year for an instant Summertime. It is hot, hot, hot, and I am in my element. Everyone here thinks I’m nuts, but I am loving the warmer weather.
The girls and I have been recovering from our harrowing trip and having some fun in the sun. We visited some of our many cousins and escaped the heat playing on their water slide. My fearless Lizzie had a ball.
Grace could not master climbing up the slide, but she had fun splashing about in the pool.
Then, the girls enjoyed their first ever sno-cone. Lizzie made the mistake of leaving hers for “later”, and Grace helped herself to it.
Meanwhile, Mommy and Aunt L enjoyed a much deserved martini.
All this fun in the summertime sure is tiring.
Lizzie has also been busy helping GiGi plant some veggies in the garden and can’t wait for the harvest.
It has been a great few days.
