Dog Days

by A Cajun Down Under on April 11, 2010

Ever heard the old adage “people eventually start to look like their pets”?  Or maybe, “that’s a face only his mother could love”?  How about, “if I had a dog that looked like that,  I would shave it’s ass and teach it to walk backwards!”.  Well, let me assure that that they are all true.

At the Sydney Royal Easter Show last week, Lizzie and Grace wanted to see the “puppies” so we stopped to watch the show dogs.  This little guy caught my eye.  I have no idea what breed he is, but he is one of the most peculiar looking dogs (if you could call it that) I have ever encountered.

It’s really a face only his mama could love.  And, to make matters worse, it’s ass was shaved – still unattractive!!

Then there was the most distinguished judge of ugly canine flesh….

Let me state for the record.. SHE IS NOT WEARING A HAT!  That is actually her hairdo – well, more like a hair don’t according to The Aussie!

I love it!   Who knew watching the show dogs could be so much fun!

Thanks Elizabeth. I was really pleased with myself to get these shots. I’ve come a long way, baby!

CB,
The dog is called a “Chinese Crested” and there’s a “hairless” and a “powderpuff” version…..(would you believe they are NOT good for those with an allergy to dog dander!)
as for the judge…words fail me……
btw…I have met the “Tim Tams”, and been infected with a powerful craving!!!!!!

AK, Thanks for the info. Even without the allergy problem, I fear The Aussie would definitely veto a “Chinese Crested’ as our future pet. Glad you like the Tim Tams!

Take it as gospel….the Chinese Crested is OUT.
You come home with one of these, it may just be only long enough to pack a bag!!!

OK, OK, OK, It’s not like I wanted one anyway… But, I’m sure you’d grow to love it if I changed my mind.

Don’t think you have to worry about that one… At least I hope not!
