Tomorrow is Australia Day. Yay! BBQ’s and pavlova - can’t wait!
This week in the lead up to Australia Day, the media has been stirring controversy over an ad that got banned. Colorful Aussie entrepreneur Dick Smith created an Australia Day ad promoting his food products, and the ad got banned before it was ever aired. Of course, like everyone else, I googled the ad to see what all the fuss was about. Some of the more cynical among us might suggest that Dick Smith made the ad purposely to get banned for all the free sensationalized media attention.
Whatever you think of Dick Smith and his intentions with this ad, the man certainly has a sense of humor. After all, his brand of matches are named “Dickheads“.
